My cat died. 3 days after her rabies shot in September 2021. And her sister died in 2018 of heart failure after her rabies shot. I have a new kitten that will never get a vaccine. And I will never take another vaccine either. #democideishappening

Peggy to the Rescue, again, Gooo Peggy! I just love your ability to cut to the core on this issue as on so many others. You really are rescuing all of us from the dogs they want to throw us to, they, the far less than 1% who believe this earth belongs to them. The trouble is that "they've" gotten so mixed up with all of us, literally deep into our genes through their gene modification programs that go back for millennia (yup) that most of us cannot see clearly anymore most of the time what's all around us. I just appreciate so much how clearly you speak what's true so that we can all follow you perfectly on this practical matters that are so essential for us to understand so we can protect ourselves and our loved ones. Personally I prefer to eliminate "God" as the middleman and just do this ourselves. On this matter do we differ. But whatever our religious/spiritual/otherwise beliefs, I think all of us here can probably agree, you are the real deal, Peggy! Thank you so so much for all the love and care you shower upon us all day in and day out, it really does feel like a rescue operation and more power to you! More power to us all! We've Got This!

I've been saying this for years - but the Orange County Animal Care licensing department requires that the dogs get their rabies shot every other year! And I can't take my dogs anywhere to be groomed, staycation - if we leave town for a few days and can't take them with us, or to the vet for any reason without a ton of shots! I even looked up in each state their requirements for shots - and again, of course - California is one of the strictest on shots for dogs!!! UGH. it makes me so mad!

Thank you for bringing this to the attention of others:)

Thank you so much for the info. We are really trying to figure out how we handle the situation (our very small less than 900 people country town requires us to register our dogs but have to show proof of vax!) with our 5 dogs. Our poodle is 5 and had his rabies shot 3 years ago before we fully understood how dangerous they are! We now have another 4 Bernese dogs 3 females 2 are sisters just over 2 years old and the other is a 6 month old daughter of one of our 2 year olds and a 9 month old sire. Our 2 older girls and the sire had shots before we got them and our 6 month old has had nothing. I have found a vet that would give us a fake vax card but he is on the other side of the country so that would raise questions. Plus we don't feel like we want to play their game by pretending they got the shots! So we are flying under the radar and will be ready to show them your research if they come after us. Is the requirement for the rabies even legal and what can they do if they find out and we refuse? The town has a notice and the USPS office stating that those that don't comply will be issued a citation and fined!

Thank you so much for putting together all this information. I have been in the equine business for a loooog time and it is encouraged to give horses the rabies vaccine also. I stopped ages ago especially after a homeopathic practitioner said it was stored up in the brain. You can tell a horse that is overvaccinated for rabies - they will exhibit an upside down V on their forehead (difficult to explain without showing!).

Also, I’m interested in the video about the vaccine for humans. I was in vet school for 3 years 1985-88 (didn’t finish) and we were an experimental class for the vaccine.

My daughter is now in vet tech school and the unofficial word is that they will be required to have it. She is adamantly opposed and will have to get a medical exemption so hopefully we can figure that out.

If I ever get another dog, how can I get a puppy that never got rabies shot?

Good article. Also, people can try minimizing the services that require certain things, like bathing your pet yourself. I never trusted groomers anyway.
