It intrigues me why we still use authority to decide our lives for us. Since now we don't have to do it - we can be the authority. We have the systems to enable us to quantify exactly how many are for or against a proposal. Why only have those cartoon characters decide? It's is our life after all. Wouldn't you want to be able to say whether you were for or against a proposal like this? Why are we still doing things the old-fashioned way? A simple poll would suffice. And we'd know. There would have to be criteria for making the vote count like a quorum and maybe location, for example the people in NY. And no age limit need be leveled. Since the proposal affects every age. It affects people's lives. We have the tools now to enable every single person to log their approval or disapproval. Why are we not using it?
