TEXAS SUES PF*ZER and CRACKS DOWN on ILLEGALS
I'm all in favor of the drug pushers to be held accountable -- but is there more to this story than meets they eye??
In a significant legal development, Attorney General Ken Paxton of Texas has initiated a lawsuit against pharmaceutical giant Pfizer, alleging the misrepresentation of COVID-19 vaccine efficacy and a conspiracy to suppress public discourse.
As we all know, the 1986 Vaccine Act shielded Big Pharma from liability when it came to vaccines, and since then, vax manufacturers have been recklessly churning out vaccines, selling, and distributing them to the public with little concern for the repercussions. It's a shady piece of legislation that has done more harm than good and should be repealed, but in the meanwhile, some attorneys are working hard to uncover the loopholes and unravel these lethal liability shields.
The process of drug/vaccine approval hinges on two fundamental categories: “safety” and “efficacy.”
There are exceptions within the realm of pharmaceutical liability. These exceptions hinge on those same fundamental categories of drug approval. The focus of the Texas lawsuit centers on drugmakers' false assertions regarding "efficacy."

The Lawsuit
STATE OF TEXAS, Plaintiff v. PFIZER, INC., Defendant
Let’s just take a look at the opening paragraph, shall we?
“At the end of 2020, Defendant Pfizer, Inc. (Defendant or Pfizer) broadcast to the world that its COVID-19 vaccine was “95% effective.” Based on this and other statements made by Pfizer touting the efficacy of its new vaccine, Americans were given the impression that Pfizer’s vaccine would end the coronavirus pandemic and lift the omnipresent veil of fear and uncertainty from an anxious public. Placing their trust in Pfizer, hundreds of millions of Americans lined up to receive the vaccine. Contrary to Pfizer’s public statements, however, the pandemic did not end; it got worse.”
Pfizer wasn’t the only one “broadcasting to the world” that the cooties vaccine was effective. Did unsuspecting Americans place their trust solely in Pfizer? What about the government? What about trusting the Texas Department of Health and Human Services? You know, one of the main entities in Texas pushing the vaccine rollout, the department that was quick to expand vaccine eligibility and follow all the CDC and FDA guidelines, the department whose mission was to vaccinate as many Texans as possible…
The Texas Department of State Health Services confidently claimed for months that the vaccine was “safe and effective.” I get it, I guess they were 100% bamboozled by Pfizer. Nothing to see there.
While Texas has made some commendable efforts in outlawing masks and vaccine requirements, did anyone at any level of government attempt to halt the vaccination rollout in Texas and the "voluntary" vaccination programs? How long have Texas government officials been sitting on this information?
“How did this happen? How did Pfizer’s vaccine achieve such widespread adoption, yet fall short of the stated goal of ending the pandemic? In a nutshell, Pfizer deceived the public. First, Pfizer’s widespread representation that its vaccine possessed 95% efficacy against infection was highly misleading from day one. That number was only ever legitimate in a solitary, highly technical, and artificial way—it represented a calculation of the so-called “relative risk reduction” State of Texas v. Pfizer, Inc. Plaintiff’s Original Petition Page 2 of 3 for vaccinated individuals in Pfizer’s then-unfinished pivotal clinical trial. But FDA publications indicate “relative risk reduction” is a misleading statistic that “unduly influence[s]” consumer choice. Indeed, per FDA: “when information is presented in a relative risk format, the risk reduction seems large and treatments are viewed more favorably than when the same information is presented” using more accurate metrics.”
Those are great questions. How did it achieve such widespread adoption? It couldn’t have anything to do with the fact that these massive vaccination campaigns (a coordinated effort by the governments in all 50 states + the feds) incentivized doctors, schools, and the general public. If “Pfizer’s widespread representation that its vaccine possessed 95% efficacy against infection was highly misleading from day one” then why did the Texas government continue with the roll out, promotion, and distribution of the vaccines?

“The Texas Department of State Health Services is launching the next phase of its campaign encouraging Texans to be vaccinated against COVID-19 with a $1.5 million television and radio ad buy. The campaign combines general information on vaccine safety and effectiveness with messages geared toward specific groups that research shows tend to be less likely to get vaccinated.”
Sounds like Texas paid for the strategic advertising not Pfizer? I’m sure there’s a connection, but the Texas Department of Health is also guilty of pushing these false claims, no? Health departments nationwide were running targeted campaigns to get every human, dog, and living organism vaxxed and triple boosted.
“Our research shows that individual health care providers are the most trusted voices for people deciding whether to get vaccinated,” said DSHS Commissioner Dr. John Hellerstedt. “Over the coming weeks we will continue to share messages encouraging various communities to get vaccinated. We are also relying on trusted voices within those communities to speak up and let their neighbors know that these COVID-19 vaccines are safe, effective and the best way to end the pandemic and restore normalcy.”
He’s not a Pfizer spokesperson, but you could have fooled me. You gotta love a US State Public Health authority telling you why you should get vaccinated.

I know these organizations are crooked and inept, but let’s focus on the claim that Pfizer duped everyone with its lies... if Pfizer was able to deceive so many government agencies (the CDC, FDA, and others), doctors, and public health "authorities" then what does that say about them? About their intelligence or their competence? What does this suggest about their ability to vet these claims, analyze the data, and so on?
There are 10 year olds that are wise enough to see through this deception.
Plus the FDA has a history of going the extra mile to protect a bad drug. The "revolving door" refers to the widespread practice of bribing regulators, which includes providing them with perks like high-paying positions in the pharmaceutical sector. It's no surprise that many FDA researchers and authors of government studies who decided certain pharmaceuticals are "safe and effective" were also paid out by drug companies.
All that being said, Pfizer is the ring leader and I wholeheartedly support legal actions to hold Pfizer and its agents accountable.
“Simply put, Pfizer cannot attempt to hide behind FDA to shield its deception from scrutiny, especially where, as here, FDA itself explicitly cautioned the company that it did not have adequate data to support various claims it made. In short, nothing FDA said or did during Pfizer’s lengthy campaign of misrepresentations remotely validated the company’s actions at the heart of this case.”
I agree that Pfizer can’t be allowed to hide behind the FDA or any other shield. I agree that Pfizer should be held responsible for its serial misrepresentations and deceptive trade practices. However, I also believe that all these government agencies need to be held accountable for their actions because they all played a part in this lethal scheme.
The Texas Attorney General is taking this action on behalf of its residents through its Consumer Protection Division, as authorized by Section 17.47 of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act (DTPA). I've found that several states have made exclusions for pharma in their DTP Acts, but Texas does not. I think it's fantastic that these legal efforts are moving forward, and I hope this isn't a futile exercise.
In summary, the lawsuit states:
“Pfizer knowingly and recklessly engaged in a multi-faceted scheme to mislead the American public about the efficacy of its COVID-19 vaccine, including making affirmative misrepresentations, withholding material information, and taking steps to censor and suppress individuals who disseminated truthful information adverse Pfizer’s deceptive scheme to increase sales and consumption of its vaccine.”
As we wait for the result (which I expect will be a while), I earnestly hope for a just outcome. The impact of this lawsuit extends beyond the borders of Texas with the potential to trigger a chain reaction of legal actions across the nation. I also hope this continues to spark discussions about political and legal reform. Reevaluating and eliminating some of the underlying legal frameworks that have enabled this misconduct is essential, as is tearing down the liability shields that protect these corrupt people and organizations.

In other news, Texas Governor signed into law SB4 in an effort to combat the tidal wave of illegal immigrants pouring into the southern border.

The history of Texas's SB4 Immigration law traces back to 2017, when the state sought to crack down on so-called "sanctuary cities." The idea was to bolster state authority over immigration matters, ensure collaboration with federal agencies, and promote “public safety” because it would ideally deter criminal activities among undocumented individuals. However, its implementation faced criticism for potential civil rights violations, fostering distrust, and hindering cooperation between law enforcement and immigrant communities.
Fast forward to the present, and Texas once again grabs headlines with its latest immigration law, challenging federal jurisdiction over immigration. The new border security bill signed into law on Monday aims to strengthen Texas' border security initiatives, combat human smuggling, discourage the influx of illegal border crossings, and safeguard the lives and property of Texans through continued funding for the construction of the state's border wall.

Senate Bill 4 from Special Session #4 (Perry/Spiller) creates a criminal offense for illegal entry into this state from a foreign nation. The law cracks down on repeated attempts to enter Texas by creating the offense of illegal reentry and penalizes offenders with up to 20 years in prison. It also provides the mechanism to order an offender to return to the foreign nation from which the person entered or attempted to enter this state. The law provides civil immunity and indemnification for local and state government officials, employees, and contractors for lawsuits resulting from the enforcement of these provisions.
Under the new law, all law enforcement officials across Texas, irrespective of their proximity to the border, gain the authority to detain individuals suspected of entering the country illegally.
Several states with immigration sanctuary laws are ironically approaching their breaking points. Anyone remember when Massachusetts officials requested volunteers to host illegals in their homes?

This bothers me because it just doesn’t sit right. Why would they wait 3 yrs ? I have many questions. You also mentioned the 1986 act which Jr says he will repeal which I think is a bunch of malarkey. Wouldn’t you need to repeal the 1962 Act that JFK signed into law ? I have questions about this because the 62 Act started the entire mess we are in with the V system.
