Children in OHIO Now SAFE from Gender Surgeries

Gov. DeWine's Veto has been overturned by the Senate; OH outlaws gender surgeries and hormone blockers for children; biological males cannot compete in female sports

Good news coming out of Ohio: the state legislature has voted to overturn Gov. DeWine’s veto of the SAFE ACT, a Senate bill that would prevent doctors from providing puberty blockers and/or performing gender mutilation surgeries on children.

In short, this law prevents doctors from castrating boys and performing hysterectomies on girls. Oh, and penectomies are also outlawed on children. Yes, you read that right. Apparently that’s something that’s done these days.

It’s a sad day when there even have to be laws like this to protect children.

Of course this news has left the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) fuming. HRC President, Kelley Robinson, unleashed a verbal storm in response to this historic news:

“These legislators have abdicated their responsibility to do what’s right for the Ohioans they represent, casting votes that they know full well will harm innocent children, all to appease the leader of the MAGA agenda,” said Human Rights Campaign President Kelley Robinson. “Despite the fact that they have no medical training, these politicians believe they know better than parents and transgender youth seeking health care. It’s shameful. The legislature has repeatedly made clear it is out of step with the citizens of Ohio, and Ohioans have had enough. They have the opportunity this November not just to kick them out of office, but to begin the process for securing fair maps that accurately reflect the needs of the state.”

Apparently they aren’t pleased that children are no longer available to be trafficked in this manner. The horror! Who knew voting on bills required a medical degree? And wait, aren’t these the same people who shilled for “the science” the last three years, but are in denial about basic biology? I don’t think anyone wants input from the confused about the fact that there are only two sexes.

Isn’t it BIZARRE that the OH Governor would veto a bill like this that protects children? That prevents child sterilization and gender mutilation? Isn’t this like protesting against child trafficking? How could he not be in favor of protecting children? (I’m certain that money has nothing to do with it. No, of course not!)

This article in the Daily Caller provides details:

The state’s House of Representatives voted 65 to 28 on Jan. 10 to override the governor’s veto of the bill, which would bar doctors from performing transgender surgeries or prescribing cross-sex hormones and puberty blockers to minors. State senators voted 28 to 4, largely among party lines, to pass the legislation.

DeWine signed an executive order earlier this month that banned transgender surgeries for minors, but allowed children to obtain cross-sex hormones and puberty blockers. DeWine argued that he never disagreed with his Republican colleagues on the issue, but that other procedures should be left up to parents and medical professionals.

Now here’s where this story gets even more disgusting:

DeWine received $40,000 in campaign donations from several state children’s hospitals. Why does that matter? Well, just think about it: cutting off children’s genitals and trying to “fix” what God has apparently made a mistake with is big business! These surgeries are huge money makers for children’s hospitals.

Cincinnati Children’s Hospital CEO Steve Davis went on the record to say that banning “transgender procedures for children” would hurt his pocketbook. Oh, I mean he said it would “hurt families.” But not the children? The children who are NOT OLD ENOUGH to make decisions for themselves? The children who are supposed to be protected by their parents? The children who are being used as money-making commodities for these hospitals which — in the case of Cincinnati Children’s — even admitted to LYING TO PARENTS about their children’s care?? How is this NOT child trafficking?? Read on for more.

Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Coaches Doctors to LIE to Parents about Trans Treatments

I use that word “trans” reluctantly, because despite the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual turmoil that a child must feel when confused about his or her sexual identity, let’s remember that no amount of surgery is actually going to change the chromosomes that child was gifted with by God.

It is heart-breaking to learn of the thousands and thousands of people who have deep regrets about what was done to their body, and how they wish they could turn back the clock. Imagine the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual anguish a child would go through once they have matured and realized that the societal trend of celebrating “choose your gender” was an empty promise… yet they are left with the physical and emotional scars to deal with.

A simple internet search will reveal how tragic life is for so many of these individuals who are left with physical pain and emotional trauma that in some cases is only alleviated by the even more tragic choice of suicide.

I have a great amount of compassion for those who are suffering in these situations, which is why it is even MORE crucial that children be allowed to be children and for these surgeries and hormone blockers be banned until adulthood.

But hospitals like Cincinnati Children’s wants to start screening toddlers as young as three years old for signs of gender preference. Am I the only one who sees this as criminal?? Again, I ask: how is this not child-trafficking?

And even more egregious is the unwritten (but encouraged) policy of this hospital, as explained by Christopher Peltier, M.D. (he/his/him) ← yes, HE has this in his title. Watch the complete video here for details. Investigative reporter Brent Scher summarizes it as:

“The video shows top doctors in the transgender center discussing how primary care physicians can lie to parents about why kids are being put in therapy, not tell them it's a gender therapist who has the power to prescribe hormones.”

And Cincinnati Children’s Hospital just happens to be a DeWine campaign donor.

DeWine did previously issue an executive order banning these surgeries for minors [Note: this should not have been an executive order but a LAW passed by the state legislature. DeWine said this was an emergency because it was a public safety issue.] However, this EO did not got far enough as it still allowed for hormone blockers and males to participate in female sports.

The new Ohio state law bans the following:

• Gender mutilation surgeries for minors

• Puberty blockers and other hormones

• Male participation in female sports

Here is the summary of Senate Bill 68, The SAFE ACT:

To enact sections 3109.054, 3129.01, 3129.02, 3129.03, 3129.04, 3129.05, 3129.06, 3313.5319, and 3345.562 of the Revised Code to enact the Saving Ohio Adolescents from Experimentation (SAFE) Act regarding gender transition services for minors, and to enact the Save Women's Sports Act to require schools, state institutions of higher education, and private colleges to designate separate single-sex teams and sports for each sex.

When allocating parental rights and responsibilities or parenting time, no court shall deny or limit a parent's parental rights and responsibilities or parenting time based on the parent's decision to do any of the following:

(A) Refer to and raise the child in a manner consistent with the child's biological sex;

(B) Decline to consent to the child receiving gender transition services as defined in section 3129.01 of the Revised Code;

(C) Decline to consent to the child receiving counseling or other mental health services for the purpose of affirming the child's perception of the child's gender or sex, if the child's perception is inconsistent with the child's biological sex.

This good news out of Ohio should be heralded and highlighted and hopefully serve as an inspiration for legislation in other states.

In California, We the People are pushing for similar action. There is a proposed statewide ballot initiative to (1) prevent child sterilization; (2) protect parental rights in schools and (3) protect girl’s sports.
